Several Zylinc clients (Zylinc Attendant Console, Contact Center, and Service Center) work with the popular Busylight UC Alpha and UC Omega from Kuando.
Do you work as a customer service center agent, and do you have a Busylight? In that case, you can have your Busylight automatically reflect your agent status:
Green: Idle (that is ready to answer inquiries)
Red: Busy
Orange: Standby
Yellow: In wrapup (that is the short break that you may get between inquiries)
Gray: Inactive or unavailable
Off: Offline
As an agent, you don’t need your administrator to set up anything, as long as your organization uses a Zylinc version that supports your Busylight (that’s Zylinc 6.5u42 or newer, if your administrator asks).
Just go ahead and use your Busylight, but remember that you can’t have the Busylight app itself open while you use your Zylinc client, so you need to exit the Busylight app before you log in to your Zylinc client. That’s easy:
To exit the Busylight app, click the Busylight icon in your computer’s notification area (it’s typically in the bottom right corner of your screen), and select Exit.
If you can’t see the Busylight icon in your computer’s notification area, its probably because – just like on my computer – some of the icons are hidden. In that case, click Show hidden icons , and, voilà, there’s the Busylight icon:
Morten Müller is Documentation & Localization Manager at Zylinc’s HQ in Denmark – and yes, it’s his Busylight you can see in the top picture – and no, it’s not a live video feed, so Morten is not necessarily idle right now 😉
